Black and White

Hey everyone..........hows u all??? So here Is the design I did during February.

Items required-
Nail polish in white- I have used Maybelline Colorama 'Perla'
Nail polish in black- I have used Elle 18
Acrylic colors in white and black
Silver glitter polish

Steps-
After applying a base coat, color half nail in white and other half in black. To create the petals use a lip filler brush, the one I have used is of Wega. Dip the tip if the brush in white acrylic and then tilt it sideways and press gently on the nails, use contrast colors on the nail paint i.e. use white on black and black on white. Finish the design by striping a silver line in between the black and white nail polish. Seal in your design with a top coat and you are done.

Hope you like this simple design. Have fun creating combinations of your choice.

Crisscross tape mani

Hello guys, so here is another tape mani. The striping tape which I have used, I have ordered them from Dimpal Rathore of 'Crazy Polishes'. The effect which I tried to create was to have a gloss base and matt crisscross top, but the effect came out to be embossed!!! (A new learning experience).

Items required:
Blue polish- I have used Faces 'Ultramarine Blue'
Pink polish- I have used Coloressence 'Barbie Pink'
Golden polish- I have used Elle 18 'No. 18'
Matt top coat- I have used Bourjois 'So Matt'
Striping tape

The steps are as follows:
After applying base coat, color the nails in blue and let it dry. Then put the striping tape in crisscross manner. Apply ombre with pink and golden color over the striping tape. Apply the matt top coat over the ombre. I did this to have a matt and shiny effect, but I ended up having embossed effect and I liked the result. On the index finger, instead of doing ombre, I just applied a matt top coat.

The end result is as follows.

Hope you liked my experiment, and if you also try it then let me know.

Ravishing Red

Hello guys!!! Hope you are all fine and enjoying your weekend. So here I am again with a mani which I did in November last year!!!! Hope you like it.

Products used:
Maybelline Colorama- Graus
L.A. colors- Golden Glitter
Acrylic color- Green and White

First of all after applying base coat, I applied two coats of Maybelline Colorama Graus. I then let it dry then using Wega lip filler brush I created the petal design. The best part with this brush is that it creates nice petals easily and anybody who is not good at art can also use it to create flower petals easily. To create this design I dipped half tip of brush in green and half tip in white color, then tilting the brush sideways such that green color side is on upper side and white color is on lower side and then press it like that on the nails. I repeated this step twice to get a good color. then on the upper side of the design I applied L.A. colors golden glitter.
Sealed the design with a top coat and the design was ready.

Hope you all  liked the design and for sometime I will post my old designs on the blog as you know I have trimmed all my nails short due to breakage of two of my nails.........

Foil mani

I am back from a nice trip home..... :) Enjoyed the weather out there, enjoyed my mamma's hand cooked food, enjoyed just lazing around........ The bad part was that I could not do any mani :( and could not check my mails and blog (the truth is that I did not want to do anything ;) !!!!!! ) and the worst part was that two of my nails broke down (aaaaarrrrrrggghhhhhhh........... ) and so I had to cut my nails very short and I will not be able to do any manis for time being (which I missed doing soooooooo dammmmmmnnnnnn much when I was home) :'(  !!!! But I have pictures of some of my old manis and will be posting them till my nails don't grow to a length when I can paint them again.

So here is a foil mani I did using aluminium foil o_O (yes you read it right.....).

I was such a fan of foils (I still am...... ) but I didn't know as to where to order them so an idea struck me and I thought of using aluminium foil. I did not have any nail glue at that time so I used base coat as a base to stick my foils. I cut the foils in small small pieces (according to my nail length) and stuck them to the wet base coat. The foils were long and not exactly the same shape as that of nails, so I filed them down and removed the access foil. After I foiled all the nails, it seemed little bit incomplete so I did a half moon using black color Elle 18 nail pop.

The funny thing that happened was that the design could not last for even a night!!!! lolllll!!!!! The whole foils slipped from my nails when I went to sleep!!!! So I was wondering what mistake I did and came to following conclusions-

1. It might have happened because I used base coat to stick my foils. If I must have used nail glue then I guess the foils must have stuck to the nails.
2. If at all I used a base coat then I should have let it partially dry and then stuck my foils rather than sticking them onto a wet base coat, I guess it could have been better.
3. I should not have used aluminium foil at all, this was a bad idea.

What say guys, what should I have used??? Have you tried anything like this then let me know about your experiences.......
